Singer/Songwriter Gems McAdam hails from the glorious city of St. Andrews in the Kingdom of Fife. She spent five years living, breathing and eating in Manchester where she managed to obtain a BMus degree and her grade 1 violin. She returned to Scotland last year and has just graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a PGDE in Secondary Music Teaching. She is about to start a full time teaching position at Madras College in St. Andrews. She plays saxophone, piano and is self taught on guitar. She has always had a passion for music and has been participating in the subject for as long as she can remember. She plays weekly at the Inn at Lathones and is a regular at ‘Platform to Perform’ at the Byre Theatre.
