On first seeing Rosanna at the Cobden Club in London, I heard the most personal, thoughtful, touching lyrics delivered in the most self-assured , uncompromising way. Rosanna takes the fears, anxieties and an expectation of her own and peoples lives and applies a strength and sound, which would comfortably fit a stadium. She writes and sings of dispassionate people in the most passionate way. She commands the stage with a hard, breathless heel-stamping delivery, but somehow never loses soul and swing. Her dynamic songs inject a rawness and intensity for her love of guitars, fuelling her sound with melodic bass lines. Rosanna doesn’t seem to fit with the copycat style of music that floods our ears today, instead her music projects a breath of fresh air reminiscent of great song writing. It would be easy her to muse of name like Joni Mitchell, Siouxsie Sioux and Patti Smith as comparisons, but it would be much preferable and easier if you became acquainted with Rosanna – as herself – for yourself.Rosanna reminds us all of what the music scene is missing right now. Through her anger over being unable to communicate in the past, she is now communicating very clearly.  Written by John Hind (Observer Magazine)
