who’s to say that anything is going to work out, but lucky me, it definitely has.
after growing up under the well guided rule of two wonderful latin parents i find myself almost logical in my irrational rationale (if that makes any sense). i consider my options and more than likely i will choose the one that gives my mother a subtle irregular heart beat. the first one of those was going to a school that was eight and a half hours away from our house, and the second one was getting on a plane to london with five dollars in my pocket. carnegie mellon is a wonderful place to learn, there i am majoring in economics and music but i decided that england was the place that would best suit my musical needs once i did an internship in holborn, london.
so i jumped in and flew another ten hours to heathrow where i sat in the airport for twenty minutes before i let myself leave—i wrote my first real song last year with the remnants of a crayon i stole from my little sister. that’s when all of this became something wonderful.
working with josh childs, producer and song writer, and studying under one of the most awe inspiring opera vocal coaches changed my life—three months ago i made another decision to return to the place that gave me the most life.
and that’s about it: i have my piano, my voice, and this city—-this native new yorker although loyal to her past, completely has become immersed in this wonderful place called london.
