Being honest i don’t know what to write hear but there’s nothing like a good game of poker
Hey there,i guess because of my parents i’m going by the name of Darragh Coffey(not very hardcore is it?)
What can i say without it sounding cliched,music is my art basically.I think all singer/singwriters are artists.When i go to write a song,i put in a lot of raw material and then edit it and try make it into the work of art.Artists do the same,they begin to paint or sketch and paint over anything they don’t like with something better to get their masterpiece.
I thrive to make the listener be like an observer in an art museum with my music.Like looking at the mona lisa and coming away without knowing how the woman felt at that time because of her smile,i try and bring that sense of ambiguity into my music to let listeners relate to the lyrics more.I always love when i can connect with a song through it’s lyrics,you feel like your not the only one going through the feelings or emotions displayed through the lyrics of the song.
One of the main reasons why i have such a great passion for songwriting is because you can feel in total power of how the song is structured,what lyrics to put in,dictating the pace of the song and also being happy with the final piece of art.
